Mine are so plugged with shit that I can’t get any fire to come out of half of them. I’ve used toothpicks in the past but that mostly seems to push the shit in and doesn’t work too well as a permanent solution. Thanks for any advice

Wipe real good, a bidet is nice too

  2. Pop it off and either burn or scrape the gunk as much as possible.

That’s not really any of your business

You have to lick the burnt carbon off like a lollipop

they should be removable, and disassemble-able hopefully

skewers/toothpics are your friend if you can disassemble them. if not, DO NOT push more grease *into* the holes if you do not have a way to get it out lmfao.

Buy new ones and stop spilling *everything*

Take them off and put them on a burner that works, crank up the heat and burn em clean, put a pot or pan you don’t like on top to get it hotter

Soap, water, and a little scrubbing. Works for most holes.

Invert on top of another burner. Let it get really hot. Brush with wire grill brush.

I had a wire coat hanger for this purpose.

Edit- set the burner overnight in heavy duty degreaser, the next morning go at that thing with a wire brush and get all the debris off of it. Then put it upside down over top of a working burner and just burn the shit out of it until you’ve completely dried it out and turned the gross stuff in the holes into just straight carbon. At that point, use the coat hanger to poke the holes out.

The first step is usually turning it off.

How do I clean my holes?! That’s none of your business, sir!

Soak overnight in degreaser, rinse, scrub, rinse, dry, reassemble and blast on high

    Excuse me? That’s a hell of a way to start a conversation…

Had a quick scroll and was surprised no one’s mentioned an Oz Tank. Maybe it’s an Aussie thing. I have no idea. It’s a hot soak with some gentle alkaline I believe. Anyway we soak all our burners in it on Sunday night and pull them out on Tuesday when we reopen. Always come out looking new.

Food equipment guy here. I’ve cleaned a lot of holes through the years.

I use a welding tip cleaner. You can buy them at Home Depot. Multiple sizes in one little pack.
